2021: Imam's Generational Scholarship Fund


What is our goal?
The Imam’s Generational Scholarship will be awarded to children of Imams, religious leaders, and chaplains who have a standing appointment with a U.S. based mosque to reduce the high cost of higher education.

What is our vision?
The vision of the Imam's Generational Scholarship is to ensure that the children of our religious leaders have equal opportunities to college education and the ability to afford it.

What is our mission?
The Imam’s Generational Fund’s Mission is to provide funding to support college education to the children of Imams as a way of recognizing the immense contribution Imams make to our communities.

Eligibility and Requirements:

The candidate MUST be:

  • Son or daughter of an Imam, religious leader, or chaplain with a standing appointment at a mosque
  • Have acceptance from a four year accredited university in the U.S.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • Have a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average

*The scholarship is also open to Imams who meet the requirements of the scholarship. 

The candidate MUST submit:

  • Completed online application
  • A letter of recommendation from a Professor/Instructor/Classroom Teacher
  • Resume
  • A letter from the Imam's current mosque confirming standing of appointment
  • Transcript
  • Short 3-5 minute video on statement of purpose

*Students can apply for annually renewable scholarships of up to $5,000. Each grant cycle, twelve scholarships will be awarded.
